Kirsten's Easter Party/Hunt

I worked in the corporate world for 8 years prior to taking the job I have at my home church. I took this job because I have a passion for children. I also have a passion for my own children. I have a great job and thank GOD for it everyday. I am always at my childrens parties and never have to ask off or make arrangements to be there. When I started working at RBC Kirsten was a toddler now she is 4 and I only have one more year with her. Brooke (13months) is also there but they didn't have a party/hunt.

Shelby's First Softball Game

#3 - that's my girl!

Shelby really enjoyed playing her first softball game yesterday. Because of spring break and rain Shelby's team had only had one practice prior to her game. Some of the girls on the team have played 2 years, but this is Shelby's first year. She went up to bat 3 times during the game, but she struck out each time. Everytime she struck out she ran back to the dug out grinning ear to ear... She didn't care. All she knew was that she went out there and did her best and that was good enough for Shelby. I hope and pray that she will continue to keep this sweet spirit and know that all she has to do is... Keep trying and never give up!
Oh, her team WON 19-3! Go Flames!!

Shelby turns 7

Shelby turns 7 and I lose my mind. First of all, I can't believe my little girl is 7. I feel like a new chapter in my life is beginning and it is scary. Shelby is a sweet little girl. She is the typical oldest child. She mothers her younger sisters and is very loving. She loves school and her favorite thing to do is read. I just hope this keeps up!

Now on to the part where I lost my mind...

Shelby wanted to have a spend the night party for her birthday. We had a party like this last year and it went great. We had six girls spend the night and it was just right. However, this year Shelby wanted to invite everbody in her afterschool class at Ridgecrest. The spend the night party turned into 11 girls! Yes you heard right 11 girls in my house. They had a blast. There was some fighting but all in all it was great. We painted finger nails, karaoked to Hannah Montana, watched High School Musical 3. Scott says if he could have bottled up the screams it would have made the perfect alarm clock.

Saturday Fun

This past weekend I took the girls to a birthday party for "M" that was turning 4. The party was at a cheer academy. Even Brooke loved the jumps as you can tell from the pics. We had a blast and really enjoyed catching up with sunday school friends since we have been involved in other areas of the church.

OUR BABY GIRL TURNS 1!

I can hardly believe that our little girl turned 1 on February 18, 2009. It seems like yesterday that I told Scott we were expecting for the 3rd time. Kaylee "Brooke" is our joy. Our little princess. She loves to wave Bye-Bye and Hey. She is crawling everywhere and her two big sisters would love for her to walk. Mommy doesn't mind her taking her time with this :). When you ask her how old she is she will hold up her finger.

Scott and I were not in agreement on whether we should have a third child. Despite what people may think we were not going to have a third child just to try for a boy. We both new that if we had a third child it would be to have a child not to have boy. Of course we probably both secretly wanted a boy but both new that if this was in God's plans he would lay it out there for us. When Scott and I learned that our third (and final child) was a girl we were excited and nervous.

I don't know many fathers out there who would look forward to raising three girls in today's world, but with God's guidance we will make it through.

I thank God everyday for the last year and look forward to many more!

I love you Brooke!

I guess I don't have enough to do

I guess I don't have enough to do so I thought I would add something else to my plate.
I often read everyone else's blogs and thought I would give it a try.
I need a place to reflect on my days and nights since they are passing so fast.
I remember my parents telling me to enjoy each day because the older you get the faster it goes.

Why is that?

The older my children get the faster my life goes. Maybe I can slow it down a little by reflecting on each day and cherising each moment.
